Kingsburg is a unique community of 11,000 people located in the heart of California's fertile San Joaquin Valley. At one time 96% of the citizens were Swedish immigrants, and the City retains a Scandinavian flavor. It sits along the Kings River, 15 miles west of the Sierra Nevada foothills and 96 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Recreational opportunities abound along the Kings River and in three nearby national parks: Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Yosemite. Kingsburg also has a golf and country club, and a gun club. The City is known for its many churches, great schools, clean streets, friendly neighbors and a spirit of volunteerism. It is a place where things just work as they should. The pace of life is relaxed with a rural lifestyle.
